Former Real Madrid Player, Xabi Alonso, Might Be Sentenced To A 5-Year Jail Term For Tax Fraud

Former Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich midfielder, Xabi Alonso, is currently on the edge of one of the worst things a man could ever experience, as a Spain’s prosecutor has announced it is seeking a five-year jail sentence and a fine of €4m for the former Spanish playmaker over tax fraud.
In a statement released this morning, the prosecutor claimed that Xabi Alonso, who retired from professional football at the end of last season, defrauded the Spanish state of €2m between 2010 and 2012.
The prosecutor also called for the same sentence to be applied to Alonso’s financial advisor, Ivan Zaldua Azcuenaga.
