Former governor and gubernatorial candidate of the SDP Olusegun Oni, also known as Segun Oni, has come to reveal the real reason why he has defected severally from one party to another.
Segun Oni who served as the Governor of Ekiti State between May 29, 2007, and October 14, 2010 had a contentious election with his main opponent in the 2007 general election, Dr. Kayode Fayemi challenging his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal in Ekiti State.

In an exclusive interview with KOKO TV he stated that when he was removed by the court as the governor of Ekiti State following a suit that was filed without his consent or that of the PDP, he expected the party in power i.e the PDP to carry out a comprehensive investigation but nothing was done, even when he reported to the national chairman of the party, still nothing happened and because of this he felt very disappointed.

Segun Oni pointed out that this is a party that he spent money from his own pocket for but when they saw him been taken out crookedly, they did nothing. Finally he left because his confidence in the party was shattered; following that, he left to the APC. The former governor who is currently the gubernatorial candidate of the SDP Ekiti State further stated that while in the APC he was suspended and this also resulted to him going back to the PDP.
