Former Chelsea Striker, Fernando Torres Will Leave Atletico Madrid At The End Of The Season

Former Chelsea and Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres has confirmed that this season will be his last playing for Atletico Madrid.
Torres, who became an Atletico hero, after making his debut at the age of 17 in 2001. left the Spanish giants to establish his name in England by joining Liverpool, where he won several individual awards. He later moved to Chelsea, where he won the Champions league, Europa League and several other trophies.
Announcing his decision, Torres said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to confirm that this is my last season at the club. I felt I should let the fans know, as they have given me so much love and affection. Both the club and I knew that this moment was going to come. I think it is the best moment, accepting the reality that I am in, you see the prominence that I have in the team and maybe it is time to make way for others.”
