The football global has poured encomium on Italy’s new manager, Roberto Mancini, for recalling Mario Balotelli to the Italian national team.
Former AC Milan defender, Alessandro Costacurta, was quick to praise Mancini for giving Balotelli a platform to redeem himself as the top-striker of the Italian senior team.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Kick-Off 2018 event organised by the Italian Football Association, Costacurta said: “I think Balotelli’s performances on the field were worthy of a call-up“.
Balotelli, has been ruled out of the national team since Italy’s embarrassing group-stage exit from the 2014 World Cup. He will feature in the national team’s upcoming friendlies, including a match against Saudi Arabia on the 28th of May.
