#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Wife, Adesua Call For Justice

Ini Umoren
Following the report on the unjust and inhumane killing of a young graduate Iniobong Umoren, many Nigerians, including former Senate President Bukola Saraki, his wife, Toyin Saraki and actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, have hoped that justice takes it full and course in bringing the killer to book.
Recall that the Akwa Ibom Police has arrested one Uduak Akpan as the suspected killer of the Ms Umoren who went in search of a job only to be missing for days and eventually found out to have been raped, killed and then buried by the suspect.#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For Justice
“I’ve been following the #FindHinyHumoren hashtag closely over the past couple of days and I am extremely devastated that young Miss Iniobong Umoren, who simply set out to find a job, was raped and murdered. At this particularly difficult time, my prayers are with her family and all her friends who kept this topic on the front burner over the last couple of days. I hope the perpetrators of this despicable act are swiftly tried and sentenced”, Bukola Saraki wrote.

Quoting her husband’s tweet, Toyin Saraki stated how heavy her heart is with the thought of the daily unknowns that young people have to live with. “Rest in peace Hinny Umoren. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones. The news this morning is devastating. My heart is heavy with the thought of the daily unknowns and fear that our young people have to live with every day”.#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For JusticeIn another tweet, she then added, A young woman who had so much to look forward to, gone too soon because she lived, and sought employment in a country where her basic right to safety is not guaranteed. How many young women will continue to end up like Hinny, Tina, Uwa, Anita or Linda? We cannot stop speaking up until gruesome deaths are no longer the norm. I have said it before and boldly reiterate: “In the name of all our global and national commitments to women and girls, the Nigerian state must make systemic changes to protect our young girls””, she wrote.

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington also took to her Twitter handle to ask what a woman must do to be safe in the world. “Woke up to horror news. Can’t believe he killed her. All she wanted was a job for goodness sake. To make an honest living. What is it? She did all the right things. What must a woman do to be safe? What???”, Adesua Etomi-Wellington wrote.#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For Justice #FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For Justice#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For Justice#FindHinnyHumoren: Saraki, Adesua, Others Call For JusticeTRENDING VIDEO OF THE DAY: Lasisi Elenu Is Stupid – Funky Mallam
