Naira Marley’s management have issued a statement concerning his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC. The statement seen below tends to clarify the singer’s stance and motive behind his new song “Am I A Yahoo Boy”. 
Naira Marley was arrested alongside four others in connection to internet fraud aka Yahoo Yahoo. While others have been released, he remains in custody with the EFCC stating that the evidence against him is overwhelming beyond releasing him on bail. The commission also stated that he will soon be charged to court. The singer was picked up on his birthday just few days after he dropped his controversial single. Before then, he had been vocally in support of Yahoo boys whom he says are repaying foreigners for the transatlantic slave trade.
