The Best FIFA Football Awards will hold on Monday the 23rd of October 2017. It is a global award presented to the best of the best in the football world.
Three elite footballers have been nominated for this year’s award from an initial 24-man shortlist. Last year’s winner Cristiano Ronaldo, has a staggering 45 goals in 48 appearances this year, including 34 goals for club and 11 for country. Ronaldo’s consecutive Champions League victory and a well deserved La Liga trophy in the 2016/17 campaign make him seem as the most probable winner long before the shortlist was announced.
Ronaldo’s longtime rival Lionel Messi is another is another footballer with hot prospects for the best player award. Messi has an impressive 49 goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances in this calendar year. World most expensive footballer, Neymar currently stand as a third runner-up for the award.
Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane leads the list of the three best coaches on the planet after He achieved an impossible feat by winning the Champions League twice in-a-row. Zidane also guided Real Madrid to their first league title in five years.
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, also starred on the 3-man shortlist after the Italian established a new record in England by winning the premier league in his first season in english football. Conte also guided his team to an outstanding 30 wins in a single season. Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri,is the third man on the list after winning the Italian league and Coppa Italia last season.
Awards of best goal of the year, beat female footballer of the year, and best fans of the year will also be announced.
