FG To Give $100 Each To Nigerian Returnees From Ukraine
As Nigerians are being evacuated from the war-troubled Ukraine, each returnee will get $100 from the Federal Government on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

An estimated 2,000 Nigerians have fled Ukraine, amid a Russian invasion, to neigbouring countries, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
Recall that the Federal Government on Wednesday approved $8.5m for the evacuation Nigerian nationals fleeing from war-ravaged Ukraine. The money was released immediately for the urgent operation.
According to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada, the countries where the pickup flights would be headed include Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa says an additional two aircrafts evacuating Nigerians from Ukraine will arrive today.
It was earlier reported that the first batch of Nigerians numbering 450 arrived the country on Friday morning.
The returnees inclusive of students and consular staff members arrived from Romania aboard Max Air 747, which landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 7.15am.
The returnees were received by Edward Adedokun, Director Search and Rescue of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA); officials of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
