The presidential panel on police reform has accepted the five-point demand of the #EndSARS protesters. The president’s media aide Bashir Ahmad shared the announcement via his Twitter handle.
According to Femi Adesina, during a meeting between the IG and the stakeholders a consensus was reached to agree to the demands of the EndSARS protesters. The IGP has also ordered all state commissioners of police to ensure no officer and any insignia of the defunct SARS squad is seen in public and the state commissioners of police will ensure “strict compliance” of the directive.
