The Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria, has reinstated that it had not abandoned efforts to rescue the only remaining Dapchi Schoolgirl held captive by the Boko Haram insurgents in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.
The Presidency revealed that the several efforts made to secure Leah Sharibu’s rescue has been unsuccessful because negotiation with the insurgents has been sinuous and complicated.

Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday, the Federal Minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said: “Negotiations with insurgents are quite tortouus and complicated atimes but I can assure you we are not leaving her to her fate and those who should are daily busy working on her release. Anybody who negotiates with insurgents and terrorists in the world will know that is not a direct face to face negotiation like we are doing.”
