Federal Government Declares A New Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday November 20 as a public holiday, this is to give Nigerians an opportunity to celebrate Eid-El Maulud. This new development was made know by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen (rtd) Abdulrahman Dambazau, who made the declaration  on behalf of the federal government in a statement signed by the permanent secretary Dr. M.B Umar, he urged muslims to align with the teachings of the prophet and asked they should be tolerant and co-exist peacefully amongst each other. He also went ahead to assure Nigerians that the federal government remains committed to unity of the country and will put the necessary structures that with ensure the forthcoming election is free and fair.
