Enugu Diocese Disowns Father Mbaka, Says Utterance Is Divisive

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has condemned and dissociated itself from the political utterances of the Director of Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi.Father Mbaka Returns Home After Ohaneze Youths Raise Alarm

The diocese described Mbaka’s utterances against Peter Obi as unbecoming and divisive. The statement was signed by the diocese’s Chancellor/Secretary, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Agubuchie; Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Geoffrey Aguigwo, and the Auxiliary Bishop, Most Rev. Ernest Obodo.

The church however warned the priest to refrain from making further provocative prophecies. Father Mbaka is known for his controversial statements and this comes as no surprise.
