A sick father has admitted attempted incest after marring his own DAUGHTER – who had allegedly battled with her own sister to have sex with him first.
Travis Fieldgrove, 40, wed daughter Samantha Kershner, 22, last year even after authorities in Adams County, Nebraska, began looking into their warped relationship. The estranged pair first met when Kershner was just 17 after her mother revealed Fieldgrove was her father.
They initially developed a normal father-daughter relationship before investigators say they began a sordid sexual affair. Their romps took place in Adams County and neighbour Hall County, cops say – after Kershner got into a “jealous competition with her half sister”, according to court documents.
Police said: “This case relates to the two being involved in an intimate relationship beginning in September of 2018 inGrand Island, Nebraska, despite evidence that Fieldgrove is the paternal parent. Evidence leading up to the arrest suggests that Fieldgrove and Kershner were aware of the biological relationship before being intimate, and further indicates that they quickly married one another after being notified of the investigation.”
State law deems incestuous marriages as “absolutely void.” Fieldgrove had initially denied he was Kershner’s dad – but DNA tests later proved with 99.99 per cent accuracy he is, according to court files. He will be sentenced next month for attempted incest after agreeing a deal with prosecutors in Adams County last week. He had already been sentenced to two years over similar charges brought in Hall County.
Fieldgrove’s lawyer said that his client “suffers from a brain injury and is not a ‘high-functioning’ person.” Kershner avoided jail by pleading no contest to reduced charges of misdemeanour false reporting. She was given a nine-month probation order.
