As widely expected, Sir John Elton has performed at the reception party in Windsor Castle, in front of the newlyweds and the Queen.
Prince Harry is said to have personally asked Sir Elton to perform “in recognition of the close connection he has with Prince Harry and his family”.
The singer was a close friend of Prince Harry’s mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and sang at her funeral.
Sir Elton has remained a good friend to both Prince Harry and Prince William.
