Germany And Sweden Take Syrian Atrocities Trial Case To The Next Level

Plans to bring the masterminds of the numerous atrocities in Syria before European courts are starting to yield result as Swedish and German courts begin trials, prosecution, and convictions.
In a 66 page report released today, Human Rights Watch said that: “While various authorities in Europe have opened investigations of serious international crimes committed in Syria, Sweden and Germany are the first two countries that have prosecuted and convicted people for these crimes”.
This new development brings hope to the thousands of Syrian refugees scattered all over the world as Muhammed (a Syrian human right activist in Germany) said: “I want them to feel haunted like they’ve haunted people all their life. We need to send a message of hope to victims and to send the message to criminals that they will not escape”.
The Syrian Civil war started in March 2011 when an opposition group launched a campaign to end the government of President Bashar al-Assad. The war has claimed hundreds of lives in the last 6 years forcing thousands of people to relocate to other countries.
