Europa League: Mourinho Reveals Reason He Gave His Medal Away

AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho has disclosed why he gave his silver medal to fans after losing 4-1 on penalties to Sevilla in the Europa League final.

According to Mourinho, he doesn’t keep silver medals and always gives it away.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss was the first man to pick up his medal during the presentation but ended up handing it over to a fan in the crowd.

According to Mourinho, he doesn’t keep silver medals and always gives it away.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss was the first man to pick up his medal during the presentation but ended up handing it over to a fan in the crowd.

“That’s what I did, I don’t want silver medals.

“I don’t keep silver medals, so I gave it away,” Mourinho told Movistar.

This is the first European final that Mourinho has lost, having previously won five with FC Porto, Inter Milan, Manchester United and Roma.
