EPL Fans Set To Return To Stadiums For Last Matchday – UK Govt

UK’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has assured Premier football fans of their return to the stadium for matchday games starting with the last day match for this season in the EPL come May 17.

On Monday, Johnson confirmed that the UK will enter phase three of the government’s roadmap out of the COVID-19 induced lockdown restrictions — which include relaxing rules on indoor socializing, foreign travel, and crowds at outdoor venues.

This has been expected for some weeks, with the EPL has adjusted its fixture schedule to make sure every team can play at least a home match this season with their fans in attendance before the end of the 2020-21 season. Away fans will not be allowed in the stadium for the games.
