Bournemouth stunned Liverpool 1-0 as Philip Billing’s first half goal was enough for the Cherries to secure all three point at the Vitality Stadium to leap out of the bottom 3.
Bournemouth went ahead in the 28th minute when January arrival, Dango Ouattara ran past dutch international, Virgil van Dijk to cut a pass back into the path of Bournemouth top scorer Billing who wasted no time in tapping it the back of the net to send the Cherries ahead.

Substitute, Diogo Jota saw his on target header come off the arm of Adam Smith with 20 minutes left on the clock but it took VAR intervention for referee, John Brooks to blow for a spot kick which was kicked wide off target by Liverpool attacker, Mohammed Salah.
Substitute Ryan Christie forced a good save from Goalie, Alisson late on, with Bournemouth weathering a late surge from the away side to hang on and claim an important three points, denting the red’s top-four hopes.

The result saw Bournemouth climb off the bottom of the table to 16th, while Liverpool stay fifth ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.
