England Into Euro 2024 Final After Ollie Watkins Stunning 90th-minute Goal Against Netherlands

Ollie Watkins scored a sensational 90th-minute winner to send England into the European Championship final.

The Aston Villa striker, on as a 81st-minute substitute for Harry Kane, received a pass from Cole Palmer and angled his finish through the legs of Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij and into the far corner.

England manager Gareth Southgate was jubilant with his players at the final whistle after guiding England to their first final in a major tournament on foreign soil.

Southgate now has four days to prepare for Sunday’s final against Spain when he will look to emulate the great World Cup-winning manager Sir Alf Ramsey.

After a thunderstorm shortly before kick-off that appeared to have Southgate concerned over the pitch, the Dutch got off to a perfect start with the opening goal of the game after seven minutes through Xavi Simons. The Paris Saint-Germain forward found the top corner after Declan Rice lost possession in his own half.

Kane levelled from the penalty spot after winning the spot-kick, having been kicked by Denzel Dumfries just after shooting at goal. The England captain scored his third goal of the tournament, making him level for the Golden Boot with three goals.
