England Drops Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori And 5 Others Ahead of Bulgaria Clash

Fikayo Tomori

England manager, Gareth Southgate has made major changes, as they take on Bulgaria in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

Southgate wants to shake-up his starting XI after the Euro 2020 qualifying defeat to Czech Republic on Friday night.

Left-backBen Chilwell comes in for the suspended Danny Rose and Trent Alexander-Arnold replaces Kieran Trippier at right-back.

Tyrone Mings is poised to play instead of Michael Keane, who struggled in Prague alongside Harry Maguire in central defence. Southgate could also be forced into a midfield reshuffle with Declan Rice not training yesterday. Both Harry Winks and Ross Barkley are hoping to start – with Mason Mount’s place also under threat.

In attack, Southgate must also decide whether to rest Jadon Sancho after his disappointing show against the Czechs, with Marcus Rashford standing by. But Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane are certain starters. Abraham played three minutes against Czech, while Tomori is yet to make an appearance for the Three Lions.
