President Buhari in a recent interview with Arise TV earlier today revealed that the EndSARS protest held across the nation in October 2020 was done to remove him from office. The protest last year was held to end police brutality across the country.
The president stated that those who participated in the protest have made Nigeria unattractive to investors. He blamed the protest for the dwindling inflow of foreign direct investment to the country. The president said young people need to behave themselves and make the country safe, then we can attract real investors to the country.

Mixed reactions have trailed this statement from the president with several social media users stating that the protest was never directed at the president but to end police brutality in the country.
