The Lagos House of Assembly has called on the Federal Government to scrap the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.
This is coming after youths in Lagos State gathered for a peaceful protest and slept in front of the State House Assembly, leading to the emergency plenary today.Allowing some of the protesters join the session, the Deputy Speaker and some other lawmakers, Desmond Elliot inclusive called for an end to the harassment, extortion, and intimidation of Nigerians by the unit of the Police.

In furtherance, the House of Assembly called for victims of SARS brutality to be properly compensated by the government.
