In the ambience and push of love, movie producer and director, Emem Isong is set to premiere latest creation, Special Jollof on Feb 14, Valentine’s Day.
The movie which is said to be themed around love features star-studded casts including Uche Jombo, Joseph Benjamin, Bukky Wright, Chiwetalu Agu amongst others.
According to Isong, the thrust of the movie is that love should be allowed to thrive and not watered down by racial or tribal differences.
“Special Jollof is just a love story set in the background of immigration, the problems immigrants go through and this preconceived notion that every Immigrant is involved in illegal activities.
This movie is actually different from what I normally do and because it is a well talked about issue worldwide at the moment, causing concern for world leaders.
I just felt I should speak on it, let’s abolish the hate and have more love. And because I was in the states for a while, I decided to do something on Immigrants, in Houston especially, where there is a large community of Nigerians. The Royal Arts Academy movie was recently screened at Genesis Cinema and will be available in cinema nationwide on Feb 14.
