Ember Months: Avoid Night Travel, FRSC Advises Nigerians

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised travellers to avoid travelling at night, so as to reduce the number of road accidents during the ’ember’ months.


The Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi made this known during a workshop organised for sector heads of drivers license on Friday in Abuja.

Dr. Oyeyemi advised all and sundry to practice safety while traveling during the period of the ember months.

“Presently, we are having challenges on the highway now.

“Ajaokuta Ganaga road is flooded along side River Niger as well. However, there has been a diversion for the Ajaokuta Ganaga road.

“But the water level at River Niger is rising that is why we are advising people to avoid night trips because with the rain, the water level is increasing and this is very dangerous.
