#ElectionUpdate: Ifeanyi Okowa Trashes Great Ogboru, Cruises To Victory In Delta

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP maintained his lead in the Governorship election conducted last Saturday.
Announcing results from Ughelli South, the Returning Officer, Dr Solomon Omonigho, said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 32,086, while Chief Great Ogboru polled 20233 votes. In Udu local government, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 9,042 to beat Chief Great Ogboru who polled 8,605. In Warri South, the PDP governorship candidate, scored 34,977 votes to beat Chief Great Ogboru who scored 12,982. In Bomadi local government, the Returning Officer, Dr Miller Owhelogbo said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 63, 851, while Chief Great Ogboru polled 4,437.
In Uvwie local government area, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 15,455 to beat Chief Great Ogboru of the APC who scored 10,467, according to the Returning Officer, Prof Adeshina Oladipupo. Announcing the results from Warri South West, the Returning Officer, Dr Samuel Jesuobo said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa polled 139, 534to defeat his major opponent, Chief Great Ogboru who scored 10,906. In Warri North Local Government Area, the Returning Officer, Prof Felix Osariemen said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 44,713 to beat his rival of the APC, Chief Great Ogboru who scored 11,116. Also, the Returning Officer for Ughelli North Local Government Area, Dr Daniel Otakhorgbogie, said Dr Ifeanyi Okowa scored 19,045 to defeat Chief Great Ogboru of the APC who scored 22,081. In Burutu local government area, the Returning Officer, Mr Ndubisi Moghalu said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa polled 49,722 to defeat Chief Great Ogboru who scored 3,645. In Ndokwa West Local Government Area, the Returning Officer, Deacon Felix Oyakhilome, said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa scored 30,971 to beat Chief Great Ogboru who scored 5,722.
