The most expensive football match went down tonight at the Wembley stadium as Fulham gains promotion into the Premier League after defeating third-place Brentford side. Both goals that gave Fulham their win was scored by Fulham’s full-back Joe Bryan.
Joe Bryan scored an outrageous long-distance freekick in the first half of extra time. Before he sealed qualification for Scott Parker’s side with a coolly taken second goal after a delicious team play.
The Cottagers win the most expensive football match in the world and gain £135m. It was a tight high intensity and energy-zapping game. No goals were scored in normal time but that hoodwink was broken in the first half of extra time and was doubled in the second half. Brentford grabbed a late consolation goal scored by Dalsgaard in the 3 minutes of added-on time in extra-time but it was too little too late.
