EFCC Announce Probe Into Obasanjo’s $16 Billion Power Project

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have launched a probe into the controversy surrounding the $16 billion spent on power projects during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.
The EFCC announced the investigation after several civil society groups urged the anti-graft agency to launch a deep scrutiny into the failed political project.
Reports indicated that EFCC may invite two ex-ministers, former top officials of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), present and past officials of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company. The investigation is also coming after President Buhari’s media spat with Olusegun Obasanjo on the same project.
