Donald Trump Calls Coronavirus “Chinese Virus”, Causes Outrage 1

American President Donald Trump has been on the end of a backlash after Tweeting on Monday, March 16, and described the Novel Coronavirus as ‘Chinese Virus’.

The President said this after addressing the country on Monday afternoon, where he revealed that the country might witness another recession and called for social distancing.
Tweeting in support of industries affected by the coronavirus, Donald Trump wrote;

“The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before!”

The above tweet has to lead to a major outcry and heavy criticism of his lack of intelligence or nonchalance to social sensitivity, some of the criticism he received came from the Mayor of New York Bill de Blasio and even the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Robert Redfield, for being “Inaccurate and potentially harmful in promoting racist associations between the virus and people of Chinese descends”
