In a statement released on Saturday by the Edo State Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, he dispelled the allegations of the Governor ordering the destruction of Dr Ize-Iyamu’s campaign billboards saying ‘the allegations are belated antics of a routinely recycled politician’

Osagie stated that the allegations were “ludicrous and unfounded” adding, “Anyone who knows Ize-Iyamu very well knows that this is his approach to politics. He raises the alarm and cries wolf when no one is chasing him.

“The state government has not removed any of his billboards. This is cheap blackmail to score lame political points.”Edo State Obaseki

Obaseki, who moved from the APC to the PDP in his bid to get re-elected as the Governor of Edo State, acknowledged that Ize-Iyamu is his biggest challenger for the Edo Governorship position, but said the stage is set for him to win and re-emerge as the Governor of the State come September 19.
