Ecuador Hit With Massive 7.5 Earthquake

Ecuador has been hit with a powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake which struck the eastern part of the country in the early morning hours of Friday. According to reports, at least six three people have sustained injuries.  Reports have it that the massive earthquake happened at 5:17 a.m. ECT/EST with the epicenter in the rural area located near the central border of Peru and Ecuador. The United States Geological Survey made this known. Not long after, another 5.5 magnitude earthquake followed suit in western Ecuador, near the city of Guayaquil. A press release stated that 6 people were injured in Gualaquiza, Macas and Cuenca, six houses were affected, along with two health centers in Guayaquil and Gualaquiza. Photo Credit: Getty
