Pastor Divine Okoh Narrates Ordeals In His 3 Months Crashed Marriage

Prophet Divine Okoh, the General Overseer of Healing Grace Deliverance Ministry, Agbor, Delta State has opened up on his failed marriage to his wife, Happiness Nwakanma, which broke barely three months they tied the knot.

Reports and news filled the air in that the clergy and his now-divorced wife have chosen to go their separate ways as he refused to send her to school as he promised her parents before getting married to her.

Speaking exclusively to LindaIkeji’s Blog, Prophet Divine Okoh revealed that he had married his wife in the same month they met in the comment section of the popular photo and videos sharing social media site, Facebook. According to him, the had met around March/April, contrary to social media reports that they met in May. This, he said, happened because Happiness had told him that her family doesn’t support dating, only marriage and because he is a clergy and wouldn’t have a carnal knowledge of her too except in marriage.

Divine Okoh explained that despite seeing her behaviour on Facebook, he married her because men of God  don’t condemn people but they believe that people can change or they can change them.
He went further to narrate how he paid the sum of 250,000 to his estrange wife’s mom who had asked him to send money for the items of the traditional marriage list. As events took place, the mother-in-law forbade him to bring his people to meet her, and eventually to meet the fiancee’s father.
Adding that Happiness’ mother is the one misleading her and even Happiness’ father left the marriage 15 years ago because of his wife’s behaviour, Prophet Divine Okoh explained that he promised her family that he will allow her go back to school after marriage but he never promised to be the one to sponsor her in school. He said he expected that her family who were already training her in school will continue. However,  they insisted he must be the one to sponsor her education.
