Driver Who Knocked Policeman Into Canal Arraigned On 6-Count Charge

The Lagos driver who knocked down a Police Officer attached to the LASTMA over a bridge and into the canal has been arraigned before a court in Badagry on a six -count charge, including attempted murder.
The video of the incident had gone viral on Thursday in the morning, and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA appealed to Lagos motorists to drive more carefully, hinting that the offender will be charged duly.
Giving an update while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, the General Manager of the agency, Olajide Oduyoye revealed that the driver, Sunday Okodo, has been charged to court while the Police inspector identified as David Zapaina, has been discharged from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 38-year-old driver, identified as Sunday Okodo, was charged before an Oshodi mobile court on six charges which include Driving against traffic (one way), resisting arrest, reckless and dangerous driving, driving with invalid drivers license, assaulting a police officer and attempted murder.
