According to one of the aides of the president, Senator Ita Enang, The All Progressive Congress is not to blame for the crisis in the Akwa Ibom House Of Assembly. While speaking to Channels TV, he said;
“As a former member of that House and a trustee of the legislature, I should not ordinarily descend into this matter,” he said. “I am getting in this matter to the extent that the All Progressives Congress and the Nigeria Police and the federal institution have been accused wrongly of being a party to this matter. The APC has done nothing wrong in this matter.”
