Denied! Meek Mill’s Bail Request Denied

Meek Mill

 Meek Mill’s appeal to be released from prison on bail has been denied. According to reports, the Philadelphia judge who sentenced him to 2-4years in state prison denied the bail. Meek Mill was sentenced to prison for violating his probation from his 2009 drug and weapons case in November 2017. Court documents obtained by the New York Daily News said;

“Defendant received proper notice of all alleged probation violations in advance of his hearing,” Brinkley wrote. “The sentence imposed was not manifestly excessive and this Court stated sufficient reasons on the record to support a state sentence of 2 to 4 years.” The judge also slammed allegations of “bias and unusual personal interest” in the case. This is coming after the rapper’s lawyer Joe Tacopina claimed the judge pressured Meek Mill to leave his management company, record a Boyz II Men cover as well as give her a shout out. “This bald allegation has no basis in reality,” Brinkley wrote about the song request. “There is zero evidence to support this claim. The court has repeatedly told Defendant that he cannot demand special treatment just because he has chosen to be an entertainer.”  Photo Credit: Getty
