Former Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose has reacted to the ban of Twitter by the federal government after the platform deleted the president’s tweet. The politician in a thread shared on his Twitter page has called on various social media platforms i.e Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to take down the account of the president across all its platforms.
He described President Buhari as the Jonah in the ship of Nigeria and explained that those undermining the rights of Nigerians to freedom of expression should themselves not enjoy such rights. The suspension of Twitter by the federal government had been met with a lot of mixed reactions over the last few hours.
