Dele Alli Beaten By Knife-wielding Thieves During Robbery at Tottenham Footballer’s Home

England star Dele Alli was attacked by two knifemen who robbed his home in the early hours of Wednesday before making off with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of valuables.


The multi-millionaire Spurs midfielder,24, was set upon by the duo after they threatened him and his model girlfriend Ruby Mae. It’s understood the £100,000-a-week footballer and his adopted brother Harry Hickford, 24, were both attacked by the duo.

Alli suffered facial injuries and Harry was also hurt. The footballer released a short statement on Wednesday night. Writing on Twitter, he said: “Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support.”

“The two men were both carrying knives and threatened them and wanted to know where they could find the valuables,” said a source close to the star.
“They took a load of jewellery and watches which are extremely valuable. Dele was assaulted, he was punched in the face as he tried to put up a fight with the men and a struggle ensued. Harry got involved and was also injured.”

But they could not prevent the pair getting away with watches and jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Dele, Ruby Mae, Harry, and Harry’s girlfriend have been sharing the property during lockdown along with a fifth person who is a friend of the group. All five were believed to be present at the time of the incident.
Scotland Yard detectives arrived in Barnet, north London following the report of the raid at 12 .35am.

A neighbour said: “The police arrived in the early hours of the morning, there were two or three vehicles outside. We heard that Dele had been punched in the face and was quite badly hurt in the struggle. The robbers got away with jewellery and one of the watches was meant to be worth £850,000. The cops were all over the property and there were a number of people who came out into the street as a result.”

It isunderstood the two couples had been playing cards together when the robbers got in.Police are examining CCTV to check on how they accessed the house. In a statement, Metropolitan Police confirmed they were investigating the robbery. “Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing,” said spokesman.

“Two male occupants at the property suffered minor facial injuries after being assaulted. They did not require hospital treatment. No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue. Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD185/13May. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 .”

Tottenham showed their support for Alli on the club’s official Twitter account on Wednesday night, with the tweet: “We’re with you Dele”. A statement added: “We have been offering our support to Dele and those isolating with him. We encourage anyone with any information to help the police with their investigation to come forward.”
