Brigadier General Ahmed, Commander of 1 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 1 Joint Task Force, North West Operation Hadarin Daji has charged security personnel in Zamfara State to deal with anybody who wants to disrupt the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
He gave the address to all security agencies at the Headquarters 1 Brigade Complex Gusau shortly after a joint show of force at the Gusau metropolis with other security agencies.
Ahmed highlighted the importance of the show of force saying it is important to discourage criminal elements planning any disruptions.

He issued a statement which was signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Brigade, Captain Yahaya Arama Ibrahim.
Ahmed stated in the statement that the exercise will help the confidence levels of voters and encourage them to come out to express their constitutional right.
He urged the security agencies to do their best to ensure they provided conducive atmosphere for a violent free election, tasking the officers and men to provide adequate protection for members of the Youth Service Corps, INEC staff and other stakeholders on election duty.

He also declared that saboteurs will not be tolerated in the upcoming elections in the state.
The commander implored members of all the security agencies to work in synergy to ensure that the overall goal is achieved during the election.
