The Federal Government has on Tuesday morning, February 2nd, announced the extension of the deadline for the ongoing National Identification Number and Subscriber Identity Module Integration {NIN-SIM} by another 8-weeks. 
The new deadline for the NIN-SIM linkage exercise has now been announced to be set for April 6, 2021.

This new development was announced by the Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde, who disclosed this in a WhatsApp message to the correspondent of Punch Newspaper, he explained that the extension was conveyed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
The Minister of Information and Digital Economy passed the new decision to shift the deadline in a message during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration which was held on the 1st of February, 2021.
