Wizkid’s MIL Debuts At No.80 On Billboard 200 While Davido’s ABT Debuts At No.170

In the week of November 14, 2020, the 4th studio album of Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ debuted at No.80 on America’s premier album chart, the Billboard 200. While his perceived arch-rival’s album Davido’s “A Better Time’ debuted at No.170. This will be Wizkid’s second appearance on the charts his second studio album ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ debuted at No.107 in 2017. Davido and Wizkid and Burna Boy ABT MIL And TAT

In the week of November 28, 2020, the DMW chief boss Davido saw his 3rd studio album #ABT debut on the Billboard 200 album chart at No.170. This Davido’s maiden appearance on the charts, but his silver-certified single, “Fall” has been on some premier music charts some of which includes the Billboard Digital Song Sales Charts.

Though kudos to Davido because no other Nigerian art as been on more Billboard Charts than him. #MIL and #ABT both come behind Burna Boy’s album, Twice As Tall which debuted at No.54 on the Billboard 200. Though all of this generation of artists follow in the footsteps of King Sunny Ade who saw two of his albums debut on the Billboard 200 in the 80’s.
