Davido To Release Much Anticipated Second Studio Album In September

Davido is ready to release his highly anticipated second studio album and we can’t wait to see what’s in the box.

The pop star revealed his new studio album will drop in September during his Headies’ acceptance speech, after winning the Artiste Of the Year award presented by Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo.

Davido’s upcoming album which title is still unknown will be a follow to his debut album, “Omo Baba Olowo” that was released in July 2012. Popular songs on the “O.B.O” album, which won Best R&B/Pop Album The Headies 2013, include “Back When,” “Dami Duro,” “Ekuro.”

Davido – who also won nods for Best Pop Single and Song of the Year – dedicated the his award to his family, father, daughters and “bae”, Chioma. The “If” hitmaker also challenged artistes to help others during his speech on stage. “I want to call out all the Artists wey dey for here, una get money, make una dey try dey help people, he no go take una anything. Nah the reason God dey bless me,” said Davido. “We rise by lifting others una no fit do am alone.”
