Nigerian singer, Davido has reacted to the news that he and 19,900 people evaded tax and is found wanting by the Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS).
This came after FIRS shared the list of some prominent businesses in the country, including former President Obasanjo’s farm, the Assemblies of God church and other that evaded tax.
FIRS warned that if these people do not pay their tax before the stipulated 29 days deadline, they would be forced to withdraw the money from their personal accounts. Unbothered Davido reacted to the news via his Twitter page where he reposted the news as he captioned it with: “lol, I’m on my cash shit”.

Some Nigerians on Twitter have however concluded that the singer is being witch-hunted by the Nigerian government. They seem to have come to this conclusion because of the singer’s affiliation with the opposition party, PDP. Recall that we earlier shared how Davido was extremely active with the Peoples Democratic Party’s gubernatorial campaign in Osun state, which his Uncle, Ademola Adeleke was the gubernatorial flag bearer.
