Just as Governor Sanwo-Olu released a list of ongoing prosecution of police officers for offenses related to the violation of human rights in Lagos, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has also asked the residents to monitor some prosecution cases in the State.
Taking to the streets of Twitter, Dapo Abiodun reeled out the cases, some of which have been filed already and some others, he promised will be filed soon.
“We invite the public to monitor the following criminal cases against defendant police officers in Ogun State”, his statement began. Adding that additional cases will be added as soon as charges to be filed against defendants are concluded, Governor Dapo Abiodun further invited members of the public to submit petitions or information on human rights abuses by security personnel. He then dished out some contact numbers to reach for the process.
