After news of customs Officer, Nura Dalhatu hits social media alleging that he promoted himself to the rank of Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) to replace its current head, Col. Hameed Ali. This claim has however been debunked by the agency, saying that social media got the news wrong about Dalhatu.
A spokesperson for the Nigerian Customs who refuted the claim said the assistant superintendent of the Nigeria Customs Service who resumed office at the Customs Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday, July 9th showed traits of mental ailments. He went on to add that: “It was obvious that he was not in the right frame of mind,” Mr Attah said. “From the question and the answer he gave.” He also promised to provide additional information about the issue as he implored Nigerians to pray for the hospitalized officer.
