Cross River Senator Rose Oko Dies At 63

The PDP Senator representing Cross River North, Dr Rose Oko, has passed away yesterday 23rd March 2020 aged 63.
Rose Oko was said to have died in London last night after battling an undisclosed sickness.Cross River Senator Rose Oko Dies At 63
Late Senator Oko was first elected into the Senate in June 2015 as member of the 8th Assembly and got re-elected in 2019.

Paying tribute to her as reported by Vanguard, a close relative of hers, Mr Patrick Ikorgor Okoroji said, “Heartbroken to hear of the passing of my dear Cousin Senator Dr Rose Okoji Oko after a long-fought battle with a physical affliction. You gave your best to your world now that it has pleased the Almighty God to call you home may your soul find eternal rest in Heaven. Adieu, Distinguished Senator Dr Rose Okoji Oko.
Until her death, she was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Trade and Investment. According to reports, she is the third Senator to have died since 2019.
