Cristiano Ronaldo Inspires Portugal To First Win Ahead Of World Cup

Portugal have won their first warm up match ahead of the 2018 World Cup, following draws with Belgium (0-0) and Tunisia (2-2).

Cristiano Ronaldo who recently joined his Portugal team-mates amid Real Madrid exit rumours, was very active throughout their clash with Algeria, which two goals from Goncalo Guedes and one from Bruno Fernandes ensured a perfect 3-0 victory. Ronaldo who was substituted for Andre Silva in the 74th minute, assisted for the second goal to Guedes.

Portugal are the defending European champions and have been drawn into Group B in Russia, alongside Spain, Morocco and Iran. The Portuguese national team players dazzled in suits when they met with the country’s president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in Lisbon, and they will be traveling to Russia after their last international friendly.
