‘The Winners Are…’ – Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford And Paul Pogba Back In Manchester United Training Ahead Of Brentford Match

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has been given a significant boost ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Brentford after Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba returned to full contact training.

The Red Devils were without Ronaldo for the side’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, with Rangnick confirming that the 36-year-old was struggling with a hip injury.

Ronaldo is United’s top scorer so far this term and the side can ill-afford to continue to drop points if they’re to finish in the top four.

But Ronaldo should be available for the trip to west London on Wednesday after he was pictured in training today.

The Portugal captain uploaded a photo to his Instagram account with the caption: ‘The winners are…’

The more surprising boost was that Pogba – who has not played since early November – was back in full training.

The Frenchman suffered a groin injury on international duty in mid-November and United had hoped that he’d return around Christmas.

However, his recovery has been slow but he was able to fully participate in today’s session ahead of United’s trip to the Bees.

Marcus Rashford was also pictured, having missed the game against Villa with a dead leg.

Harry Maguire could return to the side, having sat out the trip to Villa Park. Luke Shaw is also available after serving a one-match ban.
