The COVID-19 second wave of cases seems not to be slowing down just yet, as a high number of cases continued to be recorded but it still seems under control even though the new COVID-19 strain has also been discovered in Nigeria. The Nigeria Center For Disease Control NCDC has on Saturday, December 26 recorded 829 new cases across the country.Â
According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 296 new cases, the highest for the day. Other states with new cases include FCT-291, Kaduna-79, Rivers-40, Kano-35, Nasarawa-25, Bauchi-19, Benue-8, Borno-7, Edo-7, Oyo-7, Sokoto-7, Cross River-3, Jigawa- Ogun-2.
Nigeria now has a total of 83,576 confirmed cases. 70,495 patients have been discharged so far with 1,247 deaths recorded.
