Following Kogi State’s loss of its Chief Judge Nasiru Ajanah to COVID, the People’s Democratic Party in the State have slammed Governor Yahaya Bello of inaction and his disbelief that COVID-19 is in the state.
Recall that the NCDC had in one of its reports claimed that a case was found in the state, which was debunked by the Governor, who insisted Kogi is COVID-19 free.
Nasiru Ajanah’s death, however, sent chills down the spines of people in the state, leading to PDP’s reaction.
According. to the opposition party, which had earlier in the month asked the Governor to apologise to the residents for misleading them, noted in a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola that Yahaya Bello should isolate himsef, having atteneded the Late Chief Judge’s burial. The PDP noted further that the government should begin massive COVID-19 testing of the residents as it is clear that the state is not free from the Coronavirus pandemic, as it has been claiming.
