Ekiti State Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, ordered the remand of a 28-year-old man, Femi Olotu, in the correctional centre over alleged theft of a Point of Sale terminal and phone accessories.
The defendant was arraigned before the court for alleged shop breaking and stealing.

“While he was coming out of the shop, a vigilante shot at him and he shouted for help. In the process, neighbours called the attention of the police,” he said.
A handbag that contains some tools, knife and three small phones was recovered from the defendant.
Leramo said “The offences contravened Sections 421, 322 (a) & (c) and 302(1) (a) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State 2021.
He urged the court to remand the defendant in a correctional centre pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
