Appeal Court Nullifies Sunday Igboho’s 20 Billion Judgement Against DSS

The Judge of the Ibadan division of the Court of Appeal Justice Muslim Hasan on Tuesday set aside the #20 billion exemplary and aggravated damages awarded to the Yoruba nation agitator and Oyo strong man, Mr Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.

The court also set aside the judgment that declared the attack on Igboho’s house illegal, describing the award for damages against the DSS as outrageous.

In his ruling, Justice Hassan stated that the Oyo State High Court ignored the grounds for the case in acquiring jurisdiction and that the judge should not have decided on the award of damages based on his own preferences.

Sunday Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic on the allegation of entering into the country with a fake passport. The agitator was arrested in the company of this wife while trying to catch a flight to Germany.

The federal government have been on Sunday Igboho since he started fighting against what he termed the ‘Fulani Hegemony’ in Yoruba and his continuous agitation for the actualisation of Yoruba nation.
